No matter how wonderful your smile and postures are, wearing a good suit would go a long way in making a better first impression, whether it is for celebrations or business purposes. But often, people get it wrong when trying to get the right fit. To look great in a suit doesn’t mean you need to buy one way beyond what you can afford, but it should not be cheap and of low quality. How you wear a suit is what matters most.
If you cannot afford to get one tailored for you, make sure you look for these features when shopping for one.
1. Look out for a suit with thin lapels and double vents. They make you appear smart and modern.
2. Make sure the shoulder pads fit perfectly. They shouldn’t exceed your shoulder or be too short for them.
3. A single and double-button suit with a V or U shape opening never fails to set you apart.
4 The length of the sleeves shouldn’t exceed your wrist or be too short for them either.
5 For a dapper look, the pants should stop right on top of your shoes. Don’t wear pants that fold below the sole of your shoes to avoid looking tacky.
6 Any suit jacket that goes way beyond the zipper of your pants would look ridiculous.
7. Get slightly slim belts for your pants.
